about

Turn webpages into your widgets.

Widget.diy is a small tool: crop the part of any webpage you love into an embeddable live widget, and drop it into Notion, Lark, Obsidian or anywhere iframes live. When the source updates, your widget updates — because it is the webpage itself.

The web is inexhaustible

No content catalog. The whole web is your素材 library...

Widgets stay alive

A widget is not a screenshot. It loads that slice of the source page live in a sandbox; when the source changes, the widget in your notes changes with it.

Your notes, your turf

One iframe tag and it is yours, no platform lock-in. Private widgets never enter the plaza or search indexes; the link goes only to whom you give it.

How it works

  1. Paste a URL and frame the slice you want (or write a plain HTML widget).
  2. Get a private link plus an embed snippet; the widget runs live in a sandbox.
  3. Paste the snippet anywhere iframes work: Notion, Lark, Obsidian, your own blog.
